The avid gardeners are setting up wire hydroponic towers at their chapter's meeting place, as well as where other veterans congregate, in order to spread the word of home food growing and hydroponics. If the system proves successful, the veterans plan on marketing the produce as well.
Their urban farming project hopes to restore respect and dignity to the lives of veterans and allow returning military personnel the chance at financial freedom through self-sufficiency as they transition back to civilian life. The development of new skills is crucial to the group as many have spent a vital portion of their lives contributing to war efforts.
