Q: What are your current challenges?
TS: An ongoing challenge for us is educating consumers on the importance of quality over price, especially in an industry where reliability and durability are often critical to success.
Q: Where do you see the hydroponics industry going in the next five years?
TS: Over the next five years, I see more and more companies competing solely on price, which will drive down the quality of many products even further. Because of this, I think we’ll reach a point where some consumers will start to be turned off of growing altogether, and companies with no value to add will be weeded out.
Q: What’s the oddest request you’ve ever been asked?
TS: “Can you please send me all of the CAD files for your machine. I’d like to make my own at home. Thanks.”
