Hydro 101 with Deonna Marise – Nutrients: The Basics for Beginners

Jungle Juice is an inexpensive high-quality nutrient that is perfect for new growers. Jungle Juice is an inexpensive high-quality nutrient that is perfect for new growers.

We’ve covered a wide range of topics for beginner growers here in Hydro 101 so far, but we haven’t touched on one of the most important aspects of indoor growing. So today I'm going to help you figure out how to choose and use the nutrients that will get you off to a running start as a newer grower.

There are many factors that come to mind before choosing the correct nutrients for your grow. The two major decisions you have to make are a) whether you want to grow organically or synthetically, and b) what price you can afford.

It is very important in either case that you pick a nutrient from a high quality manufacture with a fairly low N-P-K ratio ( nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium). If you’re trying to use nutrients from a conventional home and garden store, the N-P-K ratio will most likely be too high and will cause your plants to burn. You will find the best nutrients you can get at your local hydroponics store.

As a long time grower and hydroponics retailer, I’ve been able to sample pretty much everything on the market for myself. I’ve developed some pretty strong opinions about which nutes are of the highest quality and allow my grows to be consistent.

As a beginner, you don’t need to start off with the most expensive stuff. Think of it like this: you’re learning to race cars, so right now, you want a fast car, sure, but you also need to learn how to control your machine in the hairpin turns and how to accelerate without blowing anything up. The good news is that there’s a nutrient out there that’s just right for you.

Check out Jungle Juice. This is an inexpensive nutrient that is perfect for the hobbyist. It will give you huge results, but won’t break your bank account. It’s perfect for the early days of your grow business, when you’re still learning the ropes, but still want awesome results.

Jungle Juice is a 3-part synthetic nutrient with a grow nutrient, micro nutrient and a bloom nutrient. This stuff works awesome and is very easy to use.

If you want to grow organically right off the hop, then Iguana Juice is the nutrient for you. I'm sure you've heard that if you grow organically, you sacrifice yield for taste, but that's not the case with Iguana Juice. I have found that the size and weight are almost identical to any synthetic nutrients if not bigger!

Both Jungle Juice and Iguana Juice are among the easiest nutrients to use, too. I’ll talk more about how to measure your nutrients, use the Basic Applications Table, and a Nutrients Calculator in a future edition of Hydro 101.

Whether you choose Jungle Juice or Iguana Juice, each product comes with a 100% money back guarantee, so it’s impossible to go wrong. Whatever nutrient you decide to go with, make sure to visit your local hydroponics store to get the quality nutrients for your growing needs.
