They are sweet and innocent, sexy and smart, sure of themselves and shyly finding their way. These ten actresses are destined for greatness! Which is your favorite - and why?
# 10 Elle Fanning
Dakota’s little sister is growing up pretty, and taking over smoothly where the elder Fanning left off. (Dakota prematurely tanked her career as a child actor at age 12 with Hound Dog.) Elle has stepped up as the new little blond girl, starring in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button as well as Phoebe in Wonderland.
# 9 Ellen Page
The cocky dark haired Canadian had been acting since age four, but Juno marked her breakthrough into the big time. She followed up with Inception, and we can expect to see quite a bit more of Ellen in the future.
# 8 Blake Lively
This Gossip Girl star may have mainly done chick flicks such as Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and its sequel, but her upcoming performance in The Green Lantern will get her back in front of the audience that loved her in The Lonely Island music video “I Just Had Sex” in which she starred alongside Jessica Alba.
# 7 Abigail Breslin
Abby started out as a Toys R Us kid, then broke into the big time in M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs. However, most know her as Little Miss Sunshine, a role that made her one of the youngest actresses ever to receive an Academy Award nomination. She’s seventeen, now, and grown into her grin and her hair.
# 6 AnnaLynne McCord
A brief role in Transporter 2 and another in Day of the Dead positioned this blonde vixen to catch the eye of producers, and she was promptly snapped up by F/X for a recurring role as the hyper sexual teen Eden Lord in Nip/Tuck. Now she’s a series regular on the renovated 90210 and has three films in the works.
# 5 Emmy Rossum
She stunned audiences with her brilliance in Mystic River, Day after Tomorrow and Phantom of the Opera, but Emmy truly shines on the small screen as Fiona from Showtime’s remake of the British series Shameless. Her portrayal of fierce determination to hold a motherless family together in the face of a deadbeat father’s indifference is alternately tragic, funny and damn hot.
# 4 Kristen Stewart
Sure, we all hate Twilight and the accompanying rash of Kris and RPatz films that went straight to DVD, but one can’t deny this actress is on her way up, fast. Expect to see quite a bit more of Hannah before the world gets tired of her.
# 3 Emma Watson
On the other hand, year after year of Harry Potter couldn’t spoil the lovely Ms Watson for us. She’s turned into a stunning young woman (although that short haircut is truly awful - note to Emma, hair extensions!)
# 2 Amanda Seyfried
Playing the eldest daughter of a modern day polygamist in the hit series Big Love turned out to be the right move for Amanda. She now has Mamma Mia under her belt as well as the more mature and serious Dear John, and three more films in the works.
# 1 Heather Morris
She’s called the ‘funniest second banana on television’ by the New York Post. The LA Times refers to her character hilariously as ‘galactically dim’ Her ‘dumber than Jessica Simpson’ one liners as Brittany on the FOX breakout series Glee have viewers rolling on the floors - and her super sexy dance performance in the Britney Spears centric episode caused her fan base to explode. We can’t wait to see more of Heather - hopefully soon!
