In our previous article, we talked about how the hydroponics industry has changed from old school days and is starting to catch up with the 21st century.

A young hydroponics grower wrote me saying his generation isn’t into reading. He wants me to put more videos in my articles. I wrote him back saying I would look for the maximum yield hydroponics videos and embed them here on RosebudMag.com.

I love growing outdoors but I live in a place where temperatures and humidity from May through October are too extreme for high-value hydroponics plants. And yeah, I was one of those growers who doubted that conditions could get too hot for my plants…until I saw twisted, brown leaves and zero growth from “tropical” strains growing outdoors in July. Later on, these same plants produced light, airy buds, and not much weight, because of excess heat.

Hydroponics indoor growers try hard to get the largest and most valuable harvests, and you know how it feels to wonder if there are things you could be doing, or should not be doing, so that you can get maximum yield. Here are some of the easiest and most important ways to improve your hydroponics plants’ health so you get more of what you want…

Last week I introduced you to some of the basics of battling pests & disease in your hydroponics indoor garden. We focused on methods of eliminating diseases like powdery mildew. This week, we’re going to look at some other factors hydroponics growers need to think about, like humidity and air flow in your indoor grow room.

No, you are not hallucinating…your hydroponics plants do talk to you. They send signals to you through their leaves, kind of like smoke signals. Learn their language, give your plants what they need, and they’ll give you those kind harvests you crave. Most of the time, if leaves don’t look good, it’s your plants telling you they’re lacking the essential hydroponics plant nutrients they can only get enough of via their roots. Common indicators are hydroponics leaves that are yellowing, curling, browning, drying up, or even falling off.

Q:

I want to use sunlight to grow this summer. A problem I want to avoid is harvesting at the same time as all of the other growers, which is usually mid-September where I live. I prefer to harvest earlier. Growing auto-flowering strains is an option, but they don’t yield as much and I would need to start all the plants from seed. Also, I would need much higher plant numbers, which is something else that I am trying to avoid. I realize I might be asking for miracles here but is there anything that you can suggest to help bring my crop to maturity earlier using natural sunlight?

Hydroponics maximum yield in your indoor hydroponics urban garden is easier to achieve when you use these smart tactics known by professional commercial growers…

Q:

I have been growing for a while, and like most growers have had occasional battles with insects in my crop. However this time, it’s a little different. The crop is on a decline due to a really severe infestation that I just can’t seem to get under control with my usual applications of neem or pyrethrum based sprays. Admittedly, the grow is running a little warmer right now, which makes the spider mites that are eating my crop that much hungrier.

Q: Hey, really liking your new RAW! column. You have always told it like it is, but my friends and I are really appreciating your help as a grower with what goes on outside of the grow room too.

This one might be right up your alley:

A few years ago, professional state-legal California medical growers noticed their hydroponics crops were showing yellowing leaves, stunted growth, and poor yields. In some cases, entire crop cycles were wiped out. The growers lost huge amounts of sleep, money and valuable medical crops, nearly going crazy trying to understand what was killing their crops. They examined all the factors you’re supposed to examine when you have crop problems: pH, water quality, nutrients, climate control, pests, diseases, plant genetics. You name it, they looked at it.

In my first-ever article on RosebudMag.com, I issued an open challenge to hydroponics industry monopolists and hypocrites who are discriminating against Advanced Nutrients and harming growers by stifling the free flow of hydroponics information and the availability of the most effective hydroponics nutrients and gear.

First of all let me thank Advanced Nutrients for giving me the chance to have this published on the RosebudMag.com website. What I am writing here was originally sent in the form of an email questionnaire/statement to the owners of three hydroponics businesses: Sunlight Supply, Maximum Yield and Urban Garden. I received no reply from them, so I am writing it here.

When I was tending a 2500 square foot hydroponics urban garden in beautiful Oak Bay, Victoria, BC, I often joined other hydroponics growers engaged in ethical hobbies such as bicycling, nature conservation and remote control (RC) gliding.

Hydroponics growers know that what you feed your plants makes all the difference in how your plants grow, resist stress, and produce. That’s why you only want hydroponics health foods that carry concentrated amounts and the right ratios of essential nutrients and deliver them faster into plants.
