Metalocalypse - Season 4 DVD

Dark humor, over-the-top animated high jinks, and shredding metal are the hallmarks of Metalocalypse, which tells the ongoing saga of the fictional band Dethklok. The show initially capitalized on the undying allegiance that defines metalheads, but it has gained an audience that now exceeds its original cult status via Adult Swim. Equal parts parody and exaltation of metal culture, Metalocalypse is must-watch TV for anyone with a bent sense of humor‚ even more so for those with a little headbanger blood pumping through their veins.

The Man With the Iron Fists

Long one of the music world's premier auteurs, RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan has now set his sights on the silver screen. The Wu mastermind not only wrote and directed The Man With the Iron Fists, which features bona fide Hollywood superstars like Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu, he also composed the soundtrack and stars in the film. Based on the trailer, it looks like filmmaking is another arena in which the multitalented New York native will find success.

Aerosmith - Music from Another Dimension!

One of the truly legendary rock bands of all time is still alive and kicking. After 14 gold and platinum albums, Music From Another Dimension! is the first LP from the bad boys from Boston since 2004. Will they deliver? Or has Steven Tyler’s time as a judge on America Idol softened his hard-rock peacock? Aerosmith’s storied, drug-addled, hit-laden career has had many reboots over the past four decades. Why not a fifth?

The blond Bond, Daniel Craig, returns for his third stint as 007 following the admittedly uneven Quantum of Solace. This time, it’s M (Judi Dench) who needs Bond to save the day. Javier Bardem, who proved himself a chilling bad guy in No Country for Old Men, plays the arch villain in this 23rd Bond film. Also along for the ride are Naomie Harris as the Bond girl and Ben Whishaw as a baby-faced Q. Contributing additional heft to the production is director Sam Mendes of American Beauty fame. All that talent makes for a promising entry into the 007 canon indeed.

Big Boi - Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors

Although less recognizable than Andre 3000, his partner in the hit-making duo OutKast, Big Boi has earned some solid cred as the more hip-hop-leaning of the two, despite recent forays into ballet (seriously!). His 2010 solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, was a commercial and critical success, and now his sophomore solo record is ready to drop. This one should help you get through those late autumn days in the grow room.
