Foreplay – the Secret to Better Sex

Enhance your sex life with fun and flirty foreplay. Enhance your sex life with fun and flirty foreplay.

Women love it; men dread it. Of course this is a widely generalized statement and it has its exceptions. Many women like getting right down to business, and some men enjoy taking their time. But as an unspoken rule, foreplay is usually more important to women than men. Unfortunately for those men who disregard presex play, they are missing out on what very well may be the secret to better sex.

Perhaps you once considered yourself the King of Foreplay, but life’s distractions (work, kids, stress, etc.) have knocked you off your throne. Or maybe you’re the type of guy who has never understood its value and immediately go for the gold. Either way – you’re not doing yourself or your partner any favors by skipping it.

What’s Your Hurry?

We all know the ultimate goal of having sex. The problem with some guys is that the end result becomes their only goal. Guys – this is a big mistake. Foreplay can mean the difference between good sex and fantastic sex - for both of you. So what’s the rush?

According to Dr. Mark Epstein, author of Open to Desire: Embracing a Lust for Life, “Most men are hung up on the fear of losing their erection. It dominates their mind during the act of sex.” Dr. Louanne Cole Weston, a sex therapist, adds, “If men have a worry about losing an erection, they tend to sometimes rush to insert for intercourse. They can skip over foreplay or make it extremely brief.”

Fun with Foreplay

Whatever reason prevents you from engaging in foreplay, get over it. Your girl would rather have you spend time on her, getting her adequately aroused, than rushing your way to the finish line. Sure, passion sometimes means fast and furious – and those experiences can be awesome. But if that’s all that makes up your sex life, we guarantee it needs some spicing up.

Keeping foreplay fresh and fun can be a challenge, especially if you’re new to it. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Fly Blind – Using a blindfold can be very exciting because when you’re deprived of sight all your other senses are heightened. Add to the adventure by tying each other up – take turns for who’s the captor and who’s in charge. Be spontaneous and unpredictable so your girl can’t guess where you’ll touch or kiss next.

Food Fun - Whipped cream. Need we say more? Food is a fabulous way to spice things up in the bedroom. Try hot fudge, champagne, Hershey’s syrup – anything that can be poured on and licked off.

Whisper Sweet Nothings – For women, the power of suggestion may be as exciting as the sex itself. Dirty talk and telling your girl what you want to do to her is extremely arousing. Tempt and tease her with whispered words of seduction well before you get to the bedroom.

Act it Out – Role-playing and acting out fantasies can be very liberating. If you’re on the shy side, we recommend a little liquid fortification first. (Try body shots!) Once you loosen up and let go of your inhibitions, you’ll be ready for your starring role as the Sexy Sheriff or Randy Rancher.

Watch and Learn – If your girl is willing, try watching a little adult entertainment together. We’re not talking hard-core porn here (most girls would be turned off, rather than on), just something to set the mood. You never know - in addition to revving both your engines, you just might learn a thing or two.

Sex without foreplay is like dinner without dessert. Yeah, you can get by without it – but why would you want to? Foreplay enhances your pleasure and satisfaction, as well as making you a better lover overall. Why not give it a try tonight?
